Convenience StoresLife in Japan revolves around convenience stores. Even in Kesennuma, these are open 24-7, 365 days a year. With all the construction going on in town, these stores also tend to pop up suddenly and then disappear just as quickly. 7-Eleven
Nanaco; this is a charge card. You load cash on with it in-store and can use it for purchases at 7-Eleven and some other stores. |
Lawson
Ponta card; you can use the points on this card at the Loppi machine to get free snacks and drinks, etc. This card is also used for rentals at Geo, and at Shell gas stations. |
Family Mart
T-Point card; point card for Tsutaya, Family Mart, Yoshinoya and maybe some other stores and restaurants. |
